Shutting reactor down

We’ve ignored the water moderator, and shown the nuclei reforming after fission, just to simplify the animation.

To shut down the reactor the control rods are lowered all the way down. Too many neutrons are absorbed for the fissions to be self-sustaining, and they quickly stop completely.
